Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, booking a session, or using any part of this platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1About the Service
SBE Tuition 3.0 is an on-demand online tutoring platform operated by Sri Bintang Academy Sdn Bhd Sdn. Bhd. ("SBE", "we", "us", or "our"). The platform connects registered students and parents/guardians ("you" or "User") with SBE-assessed teachers for live, one-to-one or small-group sessions conducted via Zoom.
Sessions are available across a range of curricula including, but not limited to:
- Cambridge IGCSE, O-Level, and A-Level (AS & A2)
- Malaysian SPM and PT3
- Primary school subjects (Year 1–6)
- Other curricula as offered from time to time
By "platform" we mean the SBE Tuition 3.0 website, booking portal, student wallet system, and any related communications sent by the service.
2Eligibility & Account Registration
- The platform is open to students of all ages. Students under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who assumes responsibility for all bookings and payments made.
- By registering, you confirm that all information provided—including name, email address, phone number, and student details—is accurate and up to date.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Do not share your login details with anyone.
- Each account is for a single student. If you wish to book sessions for multiple students, please contact us to arrange separate profiles.
- SBE reserves the right to refuse registration or suspend any account at its sole discretion.
3Booking & Session Confirmation
- Sessions must be booked and paid for in full before they commence. A booking is only confirmed upon successful payment.
- During the checkout process, your selected slot is placed on a temporary hold (up to 10 minutes) to prevent double-booking. If payment is not completed within this window, the hold is released and the slot becomes available again.
- Once a booking is confirmed, you will receive a Zoom meeting link and session details via email and/or WhatsApp.
- SBE reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking if a suitable teacher is unavailable for reasons outside our control. In such cases, SBE will first attempt to assign a replacement panel tutor; if no replacement is available, the session will be rescheduled around the parent or student's availability; if rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued.
- SBE may, at its discretion, substitute the assigned teacher for an equally qualified one. You will be notified of any such change.
4Session Slots & Scheduling
Tuition 3.0 operates on a dynamic slot system. The following scheduling rules apply:
- Sessions are conducted in 30-minute slots. You may book consecutive slots for a longer session, subject to teacher availability.
- Evening panel windows typically run from 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM on scheduled panel days. Operating hours are subject to change and will be reflected on the booking portal.
- Slot availability is shown in real time. SBE does not guarantee the availability of any specific teacher, subject, or time slot on any given day.
- Automated session reminders will be sent before your scheduled session. It is your responsibility to check your registered contact details are current.
5Payments & SBE Wallet
All prices are displayed in Malaysian Ringgit (RM).
Payment Methods
- Payments may be made via credit or debit card processed securely through Stripe, or by using your SBE Wallet balance.
- Card details are not stored on our servers. All card transactions are handled by Stripe in accordance with PCI-DSS standards.
SBE Wallet
- The SBE Wallet is a prepaid credit balance held against your account, which can be used to pay for sessions.
- Wallet credits may be earned through promotional top-ups, the Bonus Ladder scheme, or other promotions run by SBE from time to time.
- Wallet top-ups made by cash or card are non-refundable but remain valid for use on any future session.
- Promotional bonus credits may carry an expiry date, which will be disclosed at the time of the promotion.
- SBE Wallet balances have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another account.

Standard Plus — Rescheduling Benefit
Students on the Standard Plus plan are entitled to one (1) complimentary reschedule per booking, subject to the following conditions:
- The reschedule request must be submitted at least 12 hours before the original session start time.
- Only one reschedule is permitted per booking. If the rescheduled session is subsequently cancelled or not attended, standard cancellation terms apply — no refund or credit will be issued.
- The replacement session must be of equal value (same subject level and duration) and is subject to teacher and slot availability.
- Reschedule requests submitted less than 12 hours before the session are not eligible for this benefit and will be treated as a late cancellation (no refund or credit).
- This benefit applies to the Standard Plus plan only and is not available on the Standard or other plan tiers.
The Standard Plus rescheduling benefit is an exception to the standard 24-hour cancellation policy. All other cancellation terms remain unchanged.

- Recording of sessions is strictly prohibited without the prior written consent of SBE and all session participants. Any unauthorised recording may result in immediate account suspension and potential legal action.

- Sharing of inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
- Impersonation of another student, teacher, or SBE representative
- Any attempt to disrupt the session for other participants

- We recommend joining the Zoom meeting at least 2–3 minutes before the session start time to allow for setup.

- Minimum recommended specifications: a device with a working camera and microphone, a broadband internet connection of at least 5 Mbps, and the latest version of the Zoom application.
